Equitable Access, Built to Complement Canada’s Research Computing Ecosystem

myresearchcloud.ca is Canada’s nonprofit research cloud, operated by Computing for Humanity in partnership with ThinkOn.

We were created to extend, not replace, Canada’s national, regional and institutional research computing resources. We provide secure, Canadian-hosted infrastructure when existing systems are unavailable, oversubscribed or not suited to a project’s technical and operational requirements.

From Free Research Access to Sustained Institutional Capacity

Eligible Canadian researchers, students and public-interest projects can apply for free, capacity-dependent CPU, GPU and storage resources. Funded projects, laboratories and institutions can purchase sustained capacity at predictable academic and nonprofit rates.

We also provide research-compute advisory, solutions architecture, workflow onboarding, optimization and premium workflow support. Revenue from paid services helps operate the platform, add capacity and preserve free access for researchers who might otherwise be unable to proceed.

A Practical Research Cloud Alternative

myresearchcloud.ca complements the Digital Research Alliance of Canada, institutional advanced research computing teams, regional HPC providers and commercial cloud platforms.

National and institutional HPC systems are often the right starting point for large batch-scheduled and tightly coupled workloads. We provide another path for persistent virtual machines, fractional or dedicated GPUs, Canadian-hosted storage, rapid pilot environments, teaching platforms, research portals, science gateways and managed research workflows.
